I initially attended a three-month training program at a school in Golden, Colorado. Since then, I’ve attended farrier clinics every year to learn about new techniques and technologies that can be applied to the craft. Farrier. Commonly defined, the word means blacksmith, an occupation that has been a key part of communities for centuries. Although blacksmiths handled a variety of tasks, a big part of the job has always been to shoe horses.
